Samsung is starting its Developer Conference 2016 with live streams of the keynote addresses including the opening keynote scheduled to kick things off today at 9:30am PST/12:30pm EST.
Kamcord, the popular platform for gameplay recording in mobile apps, is today launching support for live streaming directly from Android.
Today, HTC will take the wraps off its latest addition to the One handset family. The One A9 is expected to feature an all-metal body, but more slim-lined and without the trademark front-facing speakers of current HTC flagships. HTC’s #BeBrilliant event is going to start at 12pm Eastern/9am Pacific/5pm British Summer Time, and will be available to watch live online. One of the latest and greatest features with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ is the ability to instantly live stream from the Camera app via YouTube. It’s pretty neat, but unfortunately I ran into an issue when attempting this for the first time. I’d get the “error message” shown in the above image after the quick sign-in process and nothing else would happen.
I’ve been poking around within the Google Plus and YouTube settings and I’ve come across a working solution for this problem. For those who are new to this thread in the future, here’s a rundown of the issue…
Google’s annual I/O developers’ conference kicks off in San Francisco, California in just about an hour, and the Mountain View company is providing a livestream of the event to keep you in the loop on what’s being announced. The annual Coachella music festival kicks off today in Indio, California, but thanks to a partnership with YouTube, music fans everywhere will be able to stream the concerts from the comfort of their home. 2015 marks the fifth year in row that YouTube has streamed Coachella.
According to a report from The Daily Dot, Google is preparing to relaunch the live streaming platform aspect of YouTube with a renewed focus on gaming. YouTube is reportedly looking to take on popular streaming service Twitch and focus on esports and gaming with the refreshed YouTube Live. Google infamously attempted to acquire Twitch last year, but failed as Amazon ended up buying the platform.
Following a number of teasers showing off what looks to be a next-gen, curved Galaxy device, Samsung today posted a live stream and countdown for its upcoming Unpacked 2015 event scheduled for March 1st.
The event takes place during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona during early March, a venue Samsung and others use annually to unveil their latest devices.
That curved next-gen Galaxy device the company has been showing off in blurry teaser videos is likely its new flagship Galaxy S6, but we’ll have to wait until March 1st to know for sure.

The 57th annual Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place this weekend on Sunday, February 8th, and CBS just sent over details on the only official live stream of the event accessible through your Android smartphone, tablet or Chromecast connected TV.
Head below for all the details on how to watch official streams for the event on your computer and all of your mobile devices.
CBS has broadcasting of the event locked down this year, and so for mobile users the only official live stream available of the actual awards show will be the CBS app (US only).
It will require a CBS All Access subscription, however, and is also only available in 14 major markets, including: New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Denver, Sacramento, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. It’s clear CBS is trying to push its All Access service, which offers next day access to TV shows, live TV in some markets, and on-demand content, but you can watch using a free trial and cancel before it expires…
Normally $6 month, you can take advantage of a free week trial of CBS All Access to watch the show.

President Obama is set to give the State of the Union address this evening at 9PM ET/6PM PT and one of the best ways to watch it will be live on the White House’s YouTube channel. The stream is available to watch on the desktop and mobile devices and can be flung to the big screen via a Chromecast or Nexus Player.
NBCUniversal announced today that it will offer a free live stream of Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1 to all desktop and tablet users to promote its TV Everywhere service. For smartphones, Verizon has exclusive rights to stream the event to users through its own mobile app.

The second Project Ara Developers Conference is happening today, and while it’s definitely going to be an exciting event for those developing for Ara, not everyone can make it out to Mountain View for a one day event. HTC has announced today that users of its RE camera will be able to live stream video to YouTube starting tomorrow. The company originally announced this feature when the GoPro-like RE camera accessary was unveiled back in October. Today, however, the company finally confirmed a hard release date for the feature.

Samsung is next on the list for CES 2015 press day. The company’s press conference is set to kick off in just a few minutes at 2PM PT/5PM ET. Samsung will undoubtedly showcase a lot of new products during the event, the details of which, however, remain to be seen.

The MLB.com At Bat app was updated today alongside a couple notable announcements including the league’s plan to live stream every World Series game and select Postseason games to all of its MLB.TV Premium subscribers through the app. The 2014 World Series is set to kick off on October 21.
The release notes add that the app will now also offer “Live Postseason coverage for every game through the 2014 World Series” and a Postseason.TV feature with “Live companion coverage featuring up to 10 alternate camera angles for the AL Wild Card, AL Division Series and AL Championship Series (TBS broadcasts only).”
The update MLB.com At Bat app is available Google Play for Android smartphones and tablets now. Regular $129 for the full year, an MLB.TV Premium subscription is available to purchase now for $3.99 for the remainder of the season, World Series, and postseason.

Samsung is set to hold its “Tab Into Color” event tonight in New York City at 4PM Pacific/7PM Eastren, and as you’d expect, the company is live streaming the entire thing on YouTube. Given Samsung’s recent event history, the event could be quite the spectacle. You never know.

Popular live streaming service Livestream announced today that it’s launching a Google Glass app that will allow users to broadcast directly from the hardware. While you could always accomplish live streaming with Google Glass using Google’s own Hangouts app, this will loop into Livestream’s ecosystem, allowing video you shoot with Glass to go straight to an event page on Livestream’s website and mobile apps. You’ll also be able to view feedback from your audience and respond with your voice. For now you’ll have to scan a QR code on the event’s page with Glass to start streaming, but soon you’ll be able to initiate Glass streaming through the Livestream mobile apps.

Samsung is about to officially unveil its new flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone at Mobile World Congress and a live stream of the entire event will be available through the YouTube channel above.
On top of the S5, it’s likely Samsung will have some other product announcements and give us a look at the new Gear smartwatch. There have been plenty of rumors about what might be included in the Galaxy S5, but we’ll know for sure in less than an hour.

This certainly isn’t the first time YouTube has live streamed a concert. Most recently the site live streamed the weekend long Lollapalooza festival from Chicago and it’s been hosting its own AMEX Unstaged series that brought live streamed concerts from Coldplay, Usher, Jack White and many, many more. However, tonight’s live stream of the Kings of Leon concert live from London will be the first time YouTube busts out a new 360 degree camera that will let viewers control every angle of the show while it happens.
For the first time on YouTube, watch the live stream through a 360 degree camera you control to see the event from all angles. This concert marks the latest in our AMEX Unstaged series that pairs musical artists and film directors to create innovative performances. Actor, comedian and drummer Fred Armisen will direct the concert at London’s Shepherd’s Bush, webcast globally on Vevo and YouTube.

Later this morning, Google is holding a breakfast event with Chrome/Google head Sundar Pichai where it is expected to announce the new Nexus 7 and maybe even a new “Chromecast” device. A few possible products that come to mind for tonight’s event: the much rumored Galaxy S4 Zoom camera/smartphone hybrid, the S4 Active, a waterproof, dustproof device specifically geared towards government and corporate customers, and the Galaxy S4 Mini, which earlier reports said would make an appearance at the event.
