Chrome Dev Summit 2015 is kicking off at 9 AM PT, tune in here [Livestream]

If you’re a Chrome or web developer, you’re probably already aware that the Chrome Dev Summit is set to take place today and tomorrow. The event brings Chrome engineers and web developers together for a two-day “exploration of building beautiful and fast mobile web applications.” This is an important event for many people, especially considering the growing relevance of web apps.

Sony’s IFA press conference is about to kick off, here’s your live stream

Next up at the IFA trade show in Berlin is Sony’s press conference scheduled to kick off at 10am ET/ 3:00pm BST. And the good news is we’ll be able to watch the whole thing as it unfolds as Sony’s plans to stream the event live on its website.

What can we expect from Sony today? Judging by past leaks, some of the announcements we’d expect include the new Sony Xperia Z5 family including a Compact and Premium model alongside a refreshed design for the flagship lineup and camera improvements. Based on recent leaks, we’re expecting to see a 5.2-inch Xperia Z5, along with the larger Xperia Z5 Premium with a large 5.5-inch QHD or 4K display and the smaller Z5 Compact with a 720p, 4.6-inch display.

Samsung’s Unpacked event is kicking off at 11 AM ET [Livestream]

Google releases video teasing new products at tomorrow’s AdWords livestream

Google has published a video (above) on its AdWords blog today teasing its next-generation products which will be announced during tomorrow’s annual livestream.

In a previous blog entry, Google said that the event will reveal new products that will help customers:

  • Create better mobile experiences for your customers at the moments when they’re looking for your products and services
  • Measure all the moments that matter to your business – online and offline, across multiple devices and touchpoints
  • Customize and scale everything you do in AdWords, to unlock the full potential of increasingly complex consumer journeys

The stream will kick off at 12:30 PM eastern time, but until then viewers can still register for the live webcast.

Watch Samsung’s Unpacked 2015 Galaxy S6 event here (Livestream)

Samsung is expected to unveil the 0ft-rumored Galaxy S6 in just a little bit during its 2015 Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device has been the subject of speculation for months now, with the company expected to totally refresh the design of the phone with either an all-metal or all-glass deign. The Galaxy S6 is expected to also expected to come in an Edge variant, as well, with a display similar to that on the Galaxy Note Edge.
