After announcing personal account support last month, Google is now rolling out the ability for Workspace and Cloud customers to use passkeys.

In an email sent out early Sunday morning, Dropbox revealed that its native Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides integration is coming to an end, with files being replaced by shortcuts. Anyone with Google Workspace files in their Dropbox accounts will have to migrate their files to Google Drive within 30 days of receiving notice, or they will be automatically converted to Microsoft Office files.

Google is expanding Workspace Labs with a trio of new features across Gmail, Docs, and Slides, including image generation. 

Google is rolling out an update to Gmail search that will show “Top results” first to help “you find exactly what you’re looking for much faster.”

Google Chat, the company’s Slack and Microsoft Teams competitor, looks to be getting an overhaul in the near future that features a new logo and “Timeline”-focused redesign of the mobile apps.

Following the Duet AI announcement yesterday, many more people who signed up for Google Workspace Labs are now seeing the generative AI features in Gmail and Docs that “Help you write.”

Google has been publicly testing features that help users write in Gmail and Docs over the past few weeks. Generative AI is now coming to Sheets, Slides, and Meet with a new name: Duet AI for Google Workspace.

Following its launch in March, Google is now making its Bard AI tool available to users with Google Workspace accounts.

Last year, Google Docs on the web added emoji reactions, and now they’re coming to comments, which is an equally useful addition.

Back in July, 2TB+ Google One tiers added premium Workspace features focused on video calling. Google Meet is now adding a 1080p streaming option as part of Google One and other paid Workspace tiers.

Presentations are a big part of video calling, and Google Meet is now letting users co-present Google Slides with support for multiple people.

Following Gmail, Drive, and Docs/Sheets/Slides, Google Chat is now the latest Workspace web app to get a Material You redesign.
