Just yesterday a report came out to say that due to a lack of stock, OnePlus would be halting production of the OnePlus 3 to make room for a new “OnePlus 3S.” In that refreshed model, the company would swap the existing Snapdragon 820 chip for an 821 and also trade the AMOLED display for an LCD, to the uproar of some fans.

oneplus-3

OnePlus may have finally ditched its infamous invite system for its latest — and, hopefully, future — devices, but that does not mean that the company isn’t having troubles meeting demands. After weeks of discontinued sales caused by unforeseen request, the fate of its “3” flagship may see it coming to a permanent halt. But there’s more…

The OnePlus 3’s Dash Charge is faster than the Galaxy S7, and OnePlus wants you to know it [Video]

OP3 DC v GS7 FC

Despite being a relatively new company whose products often tend to lighten your wallets less than the likes of, say, Samsung or Apple, OnePlus is a company that always makes sure its voice is heard loud and clear. This is especially true when it comes down to reaffirming its position in the tech realm; and that, often, leads to direct comparisons like the one posted today…

OnePlus struggles to keep up with demand in Europe, will temporarily stop sales of the 3 in select countries

OnePlus Logo

There has to be some sort of curse in the tech world for OnePlus, from which consumers are the primary victims. However, the Chinese OEM fares no better, and amid post-Brexit price surges, it looks like other European customers too will be affected by another form of disservice, whose fault may or may not be on the firm’s shoulders…

Watch the OnePlus 3 blazing through Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge in a speed test [Video]

S7 edge vs. OnePlus 3

They say that specs don’t matter; and that, to an extent, is often true, in the sense that software optimization can take you to far greater lengths than a more powerful processor or some extra RAM. We reported about a video comparison posted a few months ago by PhoneBuff’s David Rahimi between the two models of the Galaxy S7 edge — the Snapdragon and Exynos-powered ones — where the latter prevailed largely due to some in-house software tuning made by the Korean giant.

But for all its technical prowess, Samsung‘s top smartphone couldn’t help but lose its throne to a newcomer…
