Carl Pei’s Nothing Phone (1) has seen almost all of its secrets revealed in the past few days, and now a retail listing is giving us more information on the price of the upcoming mid-range device.

After months of hype, Nothing has confirmed that its first device, the Nothing Phone (1), will be a mid-range device running the Snapdragon 778+, rather than the flagship many expected.

The upcoming Nothing Phone (1) is set to launch on July 12, but before then, we’re learning more about the device with renders of a black model surfacing alongside some proposed specifications.

The smartphone market has, for years now, been dominated by Samsung, Apple, and a mix of a handful of other major brands. That’s led to startups usually competing for a sliver of the market, and often turning the page on their original fanbase after reaching a bigger market. This week, two startup Android brands, Nothing and OSOM, both pulled some controversial moves – are you still interested in either of them?

Yesterday, Nothing announced its upcoming Nothing Phone (1) would not launch in the United States. There were plenty of people in the tech community that were outraged that Nothing had been marketing their device so much in the United States to just turn around and ignore it on their first major device launch. While it might feel like a betrayal or that Nothing is ignoring millions of tech enthusiasts in the US, it makes sense for them to not launch the Phone (1) here. Let me explain.
