Take a look at Samsung’s insane Galaxy S7 edge billboard [Video]

We all know that Samsung likes to do crazy stuff of all kinds. From its immense product lineup down to some of the keynotes held in recent history and even Galaxy S5 airport terminals, the Korean giant has shown that it is not afraid to do things a little out of the ordinary.

Today, however, Samsung may have out-Samsunged itself by placing what is arguably the biggest billboard in the history of consumer electronics, all dedicated to its S7 edge flaghsip…

And trust us, this thing is big: 80 meters (262 feet) tall and 40 meters (131 feet) wide, to be exact. In fact it’s so big that it takes the entirety of a building’s facade.

It is located in Sokol, Moscow, in an area that is sufficiently arid of other skyscrapers that Samsung’s latest flagship can be easily spotted from as far as 2.2 kilometers (almost 1.4 miles) away.

And the position is not just good for that, but also for the fact that it’s in the middle of the road connecting the center of Moscow to the Sheremetyevo International Airport, which means that almost one million people (~800k) will lay their eyes on it every single day.

It’s bizarre and crazy, but from an advertising standpoint, having a giant Galaxy S7 edge-like billboard — which is accurate down to the point of the curved edges, whose effect is simulated — is certainly no small feat.

Powered by a myriad of LED panels, the board cycles through all of the phone’s key features, from its IP68 rating to wireless charging, to its crazy-fast (awesome) camera and the microSD expansion.

I honestly wouldn’t be able to say whether this is too crazy, even for Samsung, but that won’t take away from the fact that this idea has been well executed and it is massive in its scope as well as its ambition, for a device that is certainly worth the attention it seeks.

Take a look at it for yourself in the video below.
