T-Mobile’s Memorial Day sale takes $80 off 64 GB Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge (Update: bonus for some existing owners)

Update: According to a post in the /r/Android subreddit, customers who have purchased a 32GB Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge from T-Mobile in the past 14-60 days also have some special opportunities through the end of today. If you purchased your device less than 14 days ago, you can visit tmobile.com/promotions and enter the promo code MEMGS6 along with the phone number associated with your line and account PIN number to receive a free upgrade to the 64GB model upon approval. Those who purchased their device more than 14 days ago but less than 60 can go through the same process to receive a $50 rebate. This is the last day of the promotion so get on it!

Memorial Day is coming up this weekend and T-Mobile is celebrating the occasion with a sale on Samsung’s in-demand Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge flagship phones. Starting May 23rd and going through the 25th, the third largest carrier is offering the 64GB variants of both smartphones for the same price as their respective 32GB models.

This means that the 64GB Galaxy S6 will run you $679.92 unlocked while the 64GB Galaxy S6 Edge will cost $779.76 unlocked, both $80 off of their normal prices. Alternatively new customers can sign up under a two-year contract and pay $28.33 per month for the S6 or $32.49 per month for the S6 Edge.

T-Mobile also announced today that the LG G Stylo and LG Leon LTE budget smartphones are now available for purchase. The G Stylo goes for $12.08 per month on a two-year contract, or $289.92 unlocked, while the Leon LTE is available for free as a prepaid phone after an online rebate. Alternatively one can get the Leon LTE for $6.24 per month or $149.76 outright, but we don’t know why you’d do that.

Last but not least, the carrier announced that its prepaid subsidiary, MetroPCS, is offering a free 4G LTE device for new customers who are switching from a different prepaid carrier, or $50 off the device of their choice. MetroPCS is also reintroducing their 4×100 Plan wherein customers can get four smartphone lines with unlimited talk, text, and 2GB of data for $100 per month. T-Mobile has not said when or if these deals will end in the near future, but the company has a history of being ambiguous about the duration of promotions.
