Hands on with the Moto X Pure Edition Android phone [Video]

The Moto X Style — called Moto X Pure Edition in the US — phones we got to play with at the end of today’s event were obviously very pure Android and with their much larger displays and heavy batteries very much reminiscent of the Nexus 6 that I’m carrying around. The one big and important difference is the Sony 21MP shooter on the back that in limited testing makes all the difference.

Samsung launches Galaxy Ace Style with 4-inch display, 1.2 GHz processor, and Android KitKat

Samsung has just announced its newest Galaxy smartphone, the Ace Style. The new phone includes a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, a 5 MP rear camera, and a 4-inch display.

The device also ships with 4 GB of internal storage and support for up to 64 GB microSD cards. In terms of memory, it includes half a gigabyte of RAM. Samsung’s custom Android skin, TouchWiz Essence, will run on top of KitKat, the latest version of Android.

The Galaxy Ace Style will be available later this month in gray and white. Samsung hasn’t provided any pricing details yet.

Google details how Glass could look like traditional sunglasses using see-through displays

We already knew that future generations of Google’s Glass headset would include prescription frames and lenses in addition to rumors of the company working with trendy designers to make the frames more fashionable. Today we get a hint at some of the ideas Google is floating around for future iterations of the hardware via a patent application published today by the US Patent & Trademark Office and first spotted by UnwiredView.

As highlighted by the patent drawing above, Google’s idea is to use see-through displays in order to make Glass look more like an ordinary, traditional pair of sunglasses. Google describes the invention as “A near-to-eye optical system includes an optically transmissive substrate having a see-through display region and a repeating pattern of diffraction elements:
