Pebble is counting down for something on September 23rd. We’re not quite sure what the semi-smart watchmaker is up to and at this point we’re a little afraid to ask. Thankfully we’ll know in a few days.Screenshot 2015-09-19 08.49.03

Update: Oh this is interesting. Looks like Pebble could be launching a phone (thanks Marciplan) The current http://getpebble.com/pebble_phone URL redirects to an April 1st joke – get Pebblet.

If Pebble is doing a phone it will probably be Android so there’s that.

 

Standalone Moto 360 leather and metal bands now available for $29.99/$79.99

Motorola announced earlier this month that it would soon begin to offer interchangeable leather and metal bands for the Moto 360, and today, those accessories have gone up for sale. A standalone leather band for the Moto 360 runs $29.99 and is available in either cognac (brown), stone, or black.  Metal bands cost $79.99 and are available in light and dark finishes.

Pebble Steel smartwatch leaks: metal & Gorilla Glass version on the way

If you like the functionality of the Pebble smartwatch but are less keen on the plastic finish, it looks like you won’t have long to wait for a metal version. We’ve seen a couple of leaks of the Pebble Steel, seemingly the exact same innards as the existing Pebble watch but with a stainless steel casing and Gorilla Glass.

There are said to be two versions, one in brushed stainless steel (shown alongside the original plastic version above) and a matte black one (shown below the fold) …
