Google’s Threat Analysis Group to share more about countering state-backed hacking

One of Google’s best-known security teams is Project Zero, and its mission is to find zero days vulnerabilities. Internally, the company also has the Threat Analysis Group (TAG) to “counter targeted and government-backed hacking against Google and our users.” Moving forward, TAG will publicize and share its work to “advance the broader digital security discussion.”

Google fixes Chrome zero-day exploit, security update rolling out to Mac, Windows, Android, & Chrome OS

After releasing an incremental update for Chrome on Mac, Windows, and Linux last Friday, Google revealed yesterday that it addresses a zero-day exploit. The company’s security team advises users to update Chrome on all platforms immediately as there is evidence of a malicious party actively using the attack.
