Google is constantly looking for ways to improve the developer experience and keep programmers happily plugging away on their platform. The latest comes in the form of the G Suite Developer Hub, a rebrand of the Apps Script dashboard with new features to help start new projects and better manage existing ones.
Back in 2015, Google hosted an Android Dev Summit that solely focused on the mobile platform. Compared to the larger scope of I/O, many Android developers enjoyed this smaller format, and Google is now bringing it back for 2018.

Today, Google announced its Mobile Web Specialist Certification to help web developers stick out from the crowd.
According to Google, last week’s phishing scam that imitated a Docs invite was quickly countered by existing security measures. The company is now announcing changes aimed at developers to prevent future attacks.

The Google Developers Twitter account tweeted out a cryptic message (with a link to a cryptic website) this afternoon, which means that Android and Google developers might have a chance to win something important — although we have no idea what that might be yet. The use of the ‘#savethedate’ hashtag, however, suggests that this might be related to Google I/O 2017.
We exclusively told you a few weeks ago that Google was planning to launch a partner program for agencies that build Android apps, and the company confirmed the existence of said program on the day of the Google I/O 2016 keynote. Now, Google has taken to its Developers blog to formally “announce” the program and spill some more details…
As we reported on the eve of I/O, Google has launched a certification program to recognize development agencies that have demonstrated great competence in building apps and services. Any developer can sign up for the Agency Program and get access to dedicated training and the latest products and APIs, but the certification provides an extra step of recognition.
