Android Pay adds support for nine additional U.S. banks

As it does from time to time, Google this evening quietly added new banks to the growing list that support its Android Pay mobile payment platform. The company added nine new banks this evening, most of which are small regional banks.

The full list of new banks, noted by Android Police, is below:

  1. First American Bank
  2. First Interstate Bank
  3. Gruver State Bank
  4. NBKC Bank
  5. Norway Savings Bank
  6. Ollo
  7. River Valley Community Bank
  8. Timberland Bank
  9. Trustco Bank

With Android Pay support, customers of these banks can now add their debit and credit cards to their Android phone and use that device to complete payments in retail stores.

Android Pay also recently became available on Android Wear with version 2.0 of the operating system. The complete list of Android Pay compatible banks and retailers can be found on Google’s site
