Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly be teased in a 1-minute clip at Samsung’s MWC event

We told you yesterday about the teaser images/press invitations that Samsung shared of its forthcoming Tab S3 tablet (which we now know will be officially announced at MWC in just a few weeks), but it looks like the Korean company has more teasing up its sleeve. In the Korea Herald’s report about the above press invite, the publication notes that it has heard that Samsung plans to tease its forthcoming Galaxy S8 flagship in a one-minute trailer…

Samsung has traditionally used the Mobile World Congress stage to introduce the latest iteration of its flagship “Galaxy” smartphone lineup, but this year is a bit different — presumably because of safety precautions taken due to the Galaxy Note 7 explosion debacle. But apparently, Samsung would like to appease a bit of anticipation with a short video clip.

“The Korean tech giant is also expected to give the audiences a glimpse of its flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 at the event through one-minute video clip,” the Korea Herald reports.

Unfortunately for Samsung, however, there won’t be much left to tease by the time MWC comes around. We got our first look at actual photos of the phone, and saw rumored specs corroborated late last week. A report from The Guardian said that the phone will come in two sizes (both curved), will have USB-C, and 64GB of storage, and Forbes said that the S8 will have the Snapdragon 835 SoC. We’ll keep you in the loop, and Samsung is said to be holding an event in April where the device will debut officially.
