LeEco’s products will be available through Best Buy, Amazon starting Dec 1, DirecTV Now deal

LeEco, a Chinese technology company that is trying to break into the U.S. market by offering higher-end devices at affordable prices, is now expanding their retail availability to some of the country’s biggest retailers: Best Buy, Target, and Amazon. They’re also sweetening the deal by partnering with AT&T to offer customers free access to DirecTV Now, the company’s brand new content streaming service.

Since LeEco’s launch in the U.S. market, their devices have only been sold in the company’s online retail store, LeMall. Starting December 1, customers will be able to purchase ecophones and ecotvs online at Amazon and Target as well as seeing the devices in person with availability in-store and online at Best Buy.

LeEco also announced a deal with AT&T that would offer a limited time subscription to DirecTV Now to those who have purchased either an ecophone or ecotv. All you have to do to qualify is purchase one of the below phones or TVs before January 5.

Below is the full breakdown of which devices will be a part of the deal:

  • 3 months of DIRECTV NOW free with the purchase of an ecophone (Le S3 or Le Pro3), or a Super4 X43 Pro ecotv

  • 6 months of DIRECTV NOW free with the purchase of a Super4 X55 or Super4 X65 ecotv

  • 12 months of DIRECTV NOW free with the purchase of a uMax85 ecotv

Finally, LeEco released the kernel source code for almost all of their products, opening the doors for custom ROMs and other software modifications.
