OnePlus 3T goes official, brings the updated Snapdragon 821, bigger battery, 128GB storage tier

We’ve been hearing rumors about an updated OnePlus 3 variant for weeks now and even caught a leak on the company’s website earlier today. Now, OnePlus has just made its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 3T, official…

This new device is, as expected, a minor upgrade on the currently available OnePlus 3. What’s new? Only a few things. First off, the OnePlus 3T brings new color variant, “Gunmetal.” This new color replaces “Graphite” from the OnePlus 3, although the “Soft Gold” option is still available.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 3T brings the updated Snapdragon 821 processor, as was confirmed last week. Just like the OnePlus 3, the 3T brings 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in its base model, but this new variant also has the option to upgrade to 128GB of internal storage.

The OnePlus 3T also brings a slightly larger battery at 3,400 mAh compared to 3,000 mAh hours on the 3. The camera system also gets an upgrade, at least on the front. The 8MP front facing camera has been scrapped, replaced by a 16MP sensor made by Samsung. The display remains the same, sticking with a 1080p Optic AMOLED panel as opposed to the rumored LCD.

The OnePlus3T will be available at OnePlus’ website on November 22 in the US and Canada, and on November 28th in the EU. The phone starts at $439.
