Hulu for Android updated with Daydream support, creating your VR living room

Daydream VR is finally here and for those who pre-ordered the Pixel early, promo codes for a free headset should be in their inboxes. Once you get a headset, the first thing you’ll want is some content to go along with it. There are plenty of apps already available with Daydream support, but now Hulu has updated its Android app with support.

Hulu’s Daydream experience is pretty straightforward, allowing users to navigate Hulu’s library of content in a VR “living room” and watching that content in a variety of settings. Hulu also has a handful of VR videos and shows on its service which you can, of course, watch through Daydream.

As noted in our Daydream View review, watching videos in VR is a fun experience since it makes it “a truly immersive and cinematic experience.” That applies even if the video isn’t a 360-degree experience.

You’ll need the latest version of Hulu in order to get Daydream support and it’s available now via Google Play. The Daydream View headset itself costs $79 if you didn’t pre-order a Pixel.
