Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Edition now available from Best Buy for $850

We told you a couple weeks ago about the new colorful variant of the Galaxy S7 edge that Samsung is building in partnership with the International Olympic Committee, and now that phone is available to purchase. As we mentioned before, the phone is available exclusively from Best Buy, and today we learn the retail price: a whopping $850…

As you can see in the picture above, the external appearance of the phone has been tweaked with some Olympic colors around the home button, the speaker, and the volume buttons, and the lock button, and the phone’s UI — including the home and lock screens, and the message, dial and contact screens and notification bar — will all be themed with the Olympic colors, too.

Exactly 2,016 of these functionally-identical-to-the-S7-edge phones will be available in selected countries “including Brazil, the United States, China, Germany and Korea,” according to Sammy. Beyond that, the Korean company said that every Rio 2016 olympian will be receiving one of these Olympic-themed phones alongside a Gear IconX.

Head over to Best Buy to grab one of these for $850, or, if you just want a Galaxy S7 edge and don’t need the Olympic frills, you can grab the unlocked Galaxy S7 edge in gold for $660 on eBay.
