Take a look at the next Galaxy Note shown in glorious high-res renders

The follow-up to the Galaxy Note 5, America’s most loved phone, is coming.

There is a lot of confusion regarding both its name and the various potential shapes it is to come to the market with, but reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer is continuously cluing us in, this time with new high-resolution images…

Last Friday, @OnLeaks first showed us a glimpse of the famous CAD blueprints he usually gets ahold of, showing a device that resembled the Galaxy S7 edge strongly, albeit clearly showing the slot for what seems to be an S-Pen.

A few hours later, he and the website USwitch pulled the curtains entirely on the phone, letting us see it from virtually every angle — and seemingly confirming its launch to be planned for mid August, as we had already heard.

Aside from the mentioned S-Pen and unequivocal presence of USB-C, the device pictured presents us with a dual-edge display, leading us to think that a curved version is indeed scheduled to debut.

However, both @OnLeaks and USwitch can not confirm as much, and actually state that their source marked the phone as the “standard” version, leading us to think that Samsung is either planning to launch a single, dual-edge equipped model (the one shown in the leaks) or that some sort of even-curvier version (to be dubbed Galaxy Note 6/7 edge) is in development.

Regardless of Samsung’s strategy, however, we’ve come to ascertain that the device here pictured will both skip the rumored dual-camera setup on one side, and instead be likely to sport the clamored iris scanner instead.

Today, Hemmerstoffer is offering a few new high-res renders, which give us additional information on the device’s dimensions, as well as an overall better look at the design itself.

The Note 6 (or 6 edge, or 7, or 7 edge) should be 73.9mm wide, 153.5mm tall and just under 8mm thin, embodying a 5.7 or 5.8-inch, QHD AMOLED display.

The other specifications are instead likely to remain the ones we’ve already heard: either a Snapdragon 830 or a higher-clocked Exynos 8890 CPU, up to 6GB of RAM, a monstrous 4000mAh battery, water and dust resistance, a (really awesome) 12MP camera and more.
