Acer’s new Chromebook 11 and Chromebook 14 go up for sale on the Google Store

Acer has been in the Chromebook world for a while and today their latest offerings have just gone up for sale on the Google Store. The first is another refresh to their popular line of 11.6-inch Chromebooks, the Acer Chromebook 11 (2016), and the second is the Acer Chromebook 14 which sports an all-aluminum build…

This 11.6-inch model picks up a refreshed design with a textured aluminum cover for added durability. We get yet another 1366×768 resolution display on this model with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM alongside the Intel Celeron N2840 processor. Acer claims up to 9 hours of battery life and they’ve also added extra features for durability. Simple drops should pose no threat to the machine and at just 2.42lbs, it should also be great for portability.

The bigger story here, however, is the new Acer Chromebook 14. This model caught everyone’s attention when it was announced thanks to its all-aluminum build. The model that we see now on the Google Store packs a 14-inch 1080p IPS display with an Intel Celeron N3160 processor and 4GB of RAM. You’ll also have 32GB of SSD storage with up to 12 hours of battery life. This Chromebook weights just 3.39lbs and is only available in the silver color.

The 2016 Acer Chromebook 11 is available now on the Google Store for $179.99, and pricing lands at $299 for the Chromebook 14, also now available for purchase.
