OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X get permanent price drops ahead of OP3 launch

OnePlus announced in a community forum post this morning that it will sell all of its current phones at ‘new prices’. That means the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X will all be cheaper than they have been, almost certainly because a new phone is about to be launched by the ambitious Chinese startup.

The OnePlus 2 is now available for $299 in the US with 64GB. That’s $50 cheaper than it was when it dropped in price a few months back, and significantly cheaper than at launch, when it cost $389.

Like its bigger sibling, the elegant all-glass OnePlus X has been subject to a $50 discount and now costs $199. At that price, it’s easily one of the best sub-$200 phones around, if not THE best. For those still interested in the first generation OnePlus flagship, you can grab the OnePlus One with 64GB storage for $249.

That means all three of the company’s devices now cost less than $300, paving the way for the manufacturer to launch its next, more premium all-metal flagship sometime next month.

Discounts are available in other regions too, but vary depending on where you are. In the UK, for instance, the OnePlus 2 is still £249 like it has been since March. If you’re interested, and want to take advantage of the price drop, head on over to OnePlus.net.
