Fossil announces Q Wander and Q Marshal Android Wear watches, available in 44 or 46mm

Last year, Fossil announced their first Android Wear device and today, they are following up the Q Founder with the Q Wander and Q Marshal. Fossil is known for their high-end premium watches and these wearables continue on the same path and design.

Taking into account customer feedback, the watches now come in a 44mm or 46mm case and have a silicone strap in addition to leather and metal bands. The Q Wander has the more interesting design with an exposed sculpted wire lug. The case comes in multiple finishes and the device has interchangeable leather straps. The Q Marshall is more reminiscent of the Q Founder with a “rugged case” and a navy blue plated case option.

Both watches will come in two sizes and be available for $275 later this year. While specs have yet to be announced, it is likely the watches will come with the same Intel processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. The watches will come with the same pillow-like wireless charger and are IP67 water resistant, as well. Like the Moto 360, they also have always-on “flat tire” displays.

In the past year, Android Wear hardware has yet to change in a drastic way, besides an Intel or Qualcomm processor and the addition of a cellular radio. Software updates have brought many new features, but the current hardware specifications are still more than capable of running it.
