John Boyega talks Star Wars: The Force Awakens in interview with Google

If you opted into the Star Wars experience, Google Calendar has reminded you that today is the first showing of the new movie. To hold you over until the full release, Google has released an interview today with Star Wars actor John Boyega as part of their Talks at Google series.

As an employee perk, Google often interviews celebrities and authors in their Google offices around the world and allows Googlers to ask questions. The 20 minute interview goes into his background as an actor and his experience working on the movie. (There are no spoilers, if you’re trying to avoid them.) Googlers got a chance to ask him questions in the end and Boyega assures them and moviegoers that The Force Awakens will not be like the prequels.

As the new movie is finally arriving this Friday, expect one final surge of co-branding promotions. In Google Earth, users can view the film locations of the previous movies. People have begun receiving their free Star Wars-themed Cardboard viewers from the Google Store this week. Be sure to use them to check out the Star Wars virtual reality experience that Google and Lucasfilms worked on.
