Google announced the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X at an official press unveiling just a few weeks ago, right before opening up pre-orders for the two newest stock Android devices. It marks the first year that two different Nexus phones have been released at the same time, and it seems the first lot of devices are already landing in the hands of the early adopters.
Indian tech YouTube channel, Intellect Digest, got its hands on both the new Nexuses and unboxed them. In the Nexus 6P packaging (if you ordered one) you should expect to find a large paper guide showing you where all the important ports and buttons are, as well as a pamphlet containing quick start information. Thankfully, the 6P ships with a Type-C to Type-A USB cable, as well as the Type-C to Type-C cable, a SIM ejector tool and the wall adapter. All of this sits inside a minimally designed, pure white square box with rounded corners.

As for the Nexus 5X, the smaller of the two, the box is a slightly different design. There are no rounded corners, it’s completely square but it contains much of the same stuff. The one notable absence is the Type-C to Type-A adapter. If you’re worried about not being able to use your existing USB chargers and accessories, there’s a pretty simple solution to that problem which won’t leave you needing to pay over-the-odds for a Google-blessed adapter. On a personal note, I’m a big fan of the grey/teal color combination used in all the packaging. That’s a sure way to win me over.

The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X are priced at $499 and $379 respectively, with incremental price increases for different storage capacity models. But, if you’re after the stock Android 6.0 experience, but don’t want to pay that much for it, you can still pick up the Nexus 6 from last year for just $349 unlocked and SIM-free. And you won’t have to wait weeks for it.
