New LG G Pad X tablet shown off in leaked images, headed to Verizon

LG’s series of G Pad tablets might be getting a new addition as images showing a new variation of the tablet leak online courtesy of reliable leaker Evleaks.

The images (above) show a tablet somewhere in the mid-range size— LG currently sells G Pads in 7, 8, and 10-inch variants— and it’s running a build of the current Android Lollipop. We can also see a slightly different design accent on the backside that appears to include a metal inlay of some kind.

A previous leak pointed towards an 8.3-inch display for the new tablet. While it’s likely the tablet will make its way to other carriers, Verizon branding on the back of the tablet shows it will at least be coming to that carrier with LTE connectivity.

No word on other specs or pricing, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for an official introduction for the tablet in the months to come.

Last month the current LG G Pad received a bump up to Android 5.1 for the Google Play Edition of the device.
