Samsung reportedly plans to introduce Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 & 9.7 tablets next month

Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce two new tablets— the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7— sometime next month. Some details have leaked previously, including specs that come in thinner than Apple’s latest iPad Air, but today SamMobile reports that the tablets will get an official debut in June:

According to the latest information, there will be four variants of the upcoming high-end tablet – Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 –  and all of them will be announced in June, just like the original Galaxy Tab S.

The report adds that the Galaxy Tab S2 is expected to include a premium metal build quality, as well as the following specs: the latest 64-bit Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, microSD card slot, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, Samsung’s in-house modem with Cat. 6 LTE (300Mbps), 8-megapixel primary camera, and 2.1-megapixel secondary camera.

The new tablets will reportedly debut in US, Canada, some EU markets, China, Latin America, Hong Kong, Korea, and India.
