New Google Now card offers discount alerts based on your product searches

Google has reportedly flipped the switch on a new Google Now card that alerts users of discounts online based on products they’ve searched for in the past.

Google hasn’t offered any official details on the feature, first spotted by AndroidPolice, but users report alerts for price drops based on products appear in their search history.

With the new feature, Google offers a look at discounts it found with a product image and pricing info (pictured in the screenshot above) and notes that “a price drop was detected for a product you researched recently.” The Now card also offers links to compare prices from other merchants.

Google already offered similar discount alerts for flights as part of the flight search data it shows in Google Now.
