YouTube Music Awards set to return in March 2015

After a bit of a hiatus, YouTube announced today that it’s bringing back its Music Awards for a second showing. The event is set to take place sometime in March with the Google-owned company dishing out awards to recording artists selected by its viewers. In addition to having a say-so in who receives top honors, fans will also have some type of creative influence over the content being streamed.

Although you may not remember it too well, last year’s live show has racked up over 54 million views and with YouTube recently launching its new music streaming service, the company is definitely looking to yield similar results. To get things started, the video sharing firm has set up a new channel that will serve up the latest jams from established and up-and-coming artists. Some of the acts on tap so far include GD X TAEYANG and Megan Nicole.

YouTube is promising more surprises in the weeks ahead, but in the meantime, here’s a a look back at last year’s big bash.
