Nexus 9 teardown provides first look inside the HTC-made tablet

Google’s all-new Nexus 9 announced last month has already been through an unboxing and overview videohands-on review and head-to-head comparison with the iPad Air in the past few weeks, and now the HTC-made tablet has undergone a full hardware teardown courtesy of the team at iFixit. Take a closer look inside the Nexus 9 after the break.

The teardown reveals several internal components that confirm many of the hardware specifications that Google already announced last month, including a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 dual-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal storage, 6,700 mAh battery, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC.

Overall, the Nexus 9 has multiple component boards fit tightly inside a thin form factor. iFixit also found the tablet to have a low repairability score due to strong adhesives and a maze of tape and cables, so consider yourself warned before you attempt to do any personal repairs.
