Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 officially launches Sept 26, 140 countries by end of October

Samsung officially confirmed the launch of its new Galaxy Note 4 today announcing that the device will launch in Korea on September 26. It also said the new flagship smartphone would arrive in 140 countries by the end of October.

A report earlier this week citing unnamed Samsung employees noted that the company had decided to move up the launch of the Galaxy Note 4 following a positive reaction and strong first week sales from Apple’s new larger iPhones 6 models. The company previously planned to launch the device in October in Korea before confirming the September 26 launch date in Korea today. Availability of specific models will vary by carry with the full lineup including “Charcoal Black,” “Frost White,” “Bronze Gold,” and “Blossom Pink” color options.

The Galaxy Note 4 is already available to preorder in the US through AT&T, Verizon and starting today T-Mobile. Verizon will begin accepting preorders on September 26.
