ASUS has officially confirmed that it will be unveiling its Android Wear smartwatch at the IFA next month, with a teaser tweet showing a smartwatch face displaying the quote “Time has been transformed and we have changed” …

We first heard that ASUS was working on a smartwatch back in June, with rumors of an IFA launch circulating a few days ago.

ASUS CEO Jerry Shen claimed that the watch “looks better than competitors’ products, but comes with a relatively low price tag.” A price in the $99 to $149 range has been rumored. The company will be hoping that the low price will enable it to succeed in a market where one influential analyst has said that only Samsung and Apple will prevail.

We will of course be bringing you full coverage from the IFA next month.
