Samsung files for “Galaxy Note Edge” trademarks in US

Because Samsung needs yet another variant in its Galaxy and Note lineups, the company has now filed for “Galaxy Note Edge” trademarks in the United States.

While “Edge” could represent a lot of things, and the trademark might be something Samsung doesn’t actually end up using for a product or device, some are speculating this could be a perfect name for a device with a three-sided or wraparound display. That’s something that Samsung has been rumored to be experimenting with reports back in November claiming the company was planning on releasing the device this year.

There’s no shortage of new Galaxy variants on the horizon including the new Galaxy Note 4 coming early next month, but this might be our first hint at yet another that has yet to leak.
