If you recently picked up a shiny new Galaxy S5, there’s a good chance you’re looking for a great case or two. Luckily, there’s already a wide variety of accessories available to cover up your device without turning it into a brick.

We’ll take a look at the best five cases for the Galaxy S5 that will provide protection and/or style and not break the bank. The cases mentioned here are order by curent pricing/availability, but this will vary from day to day, so check out the associated links for more information.

1. Bear Motion Premium Back Cover for Samsung Galaxy S5 (Price: $4.99)

Bear Motion may not be a very popular company, but their case for the Galaxy S5 will keep your device thin, while offering minimal protection. This case is mainly for those who aren’t a fan of the semi-perforated backing of the Galaxy S5. This case will back your S5 with smooth textured finish that’s available five different colors. The good news is, it can be picked up for between $4.99 and $6.99.

2. Spigen Ultra Fit Slim Case For Galaxy S5 (Price: $5.99)

Here’s another sleek and slim shell for the S5. The best part about Spigen’s Ultra Fit series is that it mimics the S5’s back design and allows you to give the device a new look while retaining the style found on the original cover. As pictured above, this case is available in an Electric Blue option, but you can also find it in Copper Gold, Metal Slate, as well as similar color options without the dotted texture and they start at $5.99 and certain styles come with screen protector as well.

3. Supcase Hybrid Protective Case For Galaxy S5 (Price: $9.99)

If you’re looking for something that will provide more protection than a slim snap-on case, Supcase’s Hybrid Protective Case may be a great option. This case can retain the look of the Galaxy S5 (or not), while providing a bumper to protect the edges from drops and dings. This case has a sporty-slim design and is compatible with all of the Galaxy S5’s features in a wide variety of colors starting at $9.99.

4. i-Blason Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case (Price: $14.95)

iBlason’s Prime Series offers protection for those on-the-go. This dual-layer case has a built-in kickstand and comes with a belt clip holster as well. The case can be inserted face down into the holster to provide protection for the screen. Overall, this is a great option to keep the Galaxy S5 protected and provide a few additional features. Currently, the case is available in five different colors for $14.95.

5. Spigen Galaxy S5 Premium Wallet Case (Price: $15.99)

Looking for something with a bit more functionality? Spigen’s Premium Wallet Case offers style and sophistication without hurting your wallet. The case is available in a brown, black, or white synthetic leather material and has three built-in card slots along with a inner pocket. Along with that, it offers a kickstand for watching movies/TV shows or browsing the Web. Currently, this case is available starting at $15.99.

If you’re looking for official alternatives Samsung also offers accessories for the Galaxy S5 including its S-View Flip Cover S5 ($40 on Amazon) and Wireless Charging Cover ($29.99). Along with that, there are a few battery cases that will be available in the coming weeks/months, but those will normally cost up to $70. Though they are definitely worth it if you need extra juice to make it through the day.

These cases may not be the only ones available to protect the Galaxy S5, but they certainly offer the most for your money. Hopefully this accessory roundup will give you a few options to protect that new Galaxy S5 without spending too much money.
