AT&T Galaxy S 4 owners look sharp, the day before Thanksgiving is bringing you gifts as the carrier announces Android 4.3…arriving now. The update is slated at 727MB, so Wi-Fi only updates are allowed but Galaxy Gear compatibility, call reliability improvements, drag and drop ability to uninstall/disable applications and the rest of Android 4.3 goodness are all awaiting you. It originally appeared that the update began around 10 days ago but this is official word from the AT&T mothership…so it’s now officially official.

David, how will I update? Great question:

  1. Drag down the notification bar, and then tap Settings .
  2. From the “More” tab, tap About device.
  3. Tap Software update.
  4. Tap Check for updates.
  5. Tap OK.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. The device will automatically start downloading the software update. Once complete, the device will restart.
  8. Please wait until your phone reboots completely, and then select Done to finish.

WAIT! There’s more!

AT&T also announced the addition of a Galaxy Gear update to allow complete compatibility with the Galaxy S 4.

Software updates for Galaxy Gear™ compatibility and additional enhancements are available today for customers who have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S® 4. In addition, this update also includes the ability to drag and drop apps to trash for uninstalling/disabling.
