Netflix now available on low-cost Chromebooks using HTML5 streaming

Streaming movie and TV show service Netflix now runs on non-Intel Chromebooks thanks to Google and Microsoft working with the company to get HTML5 video streaming working on ARM processors …

Getting access to Netflix is as simple as visiting the Netflix site on the device.

Netflix also plans to test HTML5 on Windows and OS X, which suggests that we may soon be able to ditch the Silverlight plugin which many subscribers have installed purely for Netflix.
