Google’s Vice President of Product Management Bradley Horowitz announced a Google+ partnership with Flipboard and teased an enterprise version of the social network at Le Web 2012 in London this morning, but he also demonstrated Hangouts…on an iPad.

According to TheNextWeb, the Flipboard partnership will stream Google+ feeds into the app as part of the Mountain View, Calif.-based Company’s new Google+ APIs that now sport limited availability for developers. The integration will also allow Flipboard users to get access to posts, media, and other data without visiting Google+ directly. Other social networks on Flipboard include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr.

Horowitz further demonstrated Google+ Hangouts at the conference with an iPad. TheNextWeb’s Jamillah Knowles was on-hand to ask the executive why he chose Apple’s tablet over an Android device for the conference, but his response was vague (as heard in the audio clip above).

The Googler was also obscure in regards to numbers. He noted the 170 million-user base for Google+ as a “stale” estimate, and he would not give specific stats on whether Google+ apps prod interaction. He did mention, however, that Google has dreams for its social network in the enterprise.

According to PCWorld:

Google has high hopes for its Google+ social network in the enterprise, with a more corporate-friendly version on the way as the company also continues to slowly open up the API to more third parties with Flipboard the latest addition to that effort, a company executive said Tuesday at the LeWeb conference in London.

“We think that the enterprise-use case, everyone from multinational corporations to mum and pop businesses, is a fantastic opportunity for Google and Google+,” said Bradley Horowitz, who oversees product management for Google+.

The Enterprises can use Google+ as a “virtual watercooler” or small teams can use Hangouts to communicate, according to Horowitz. The latter allows users to video chat with their colleagues.

Moreover, 9to5Google‘s Seth Weintraub sat down with Google’s Enterprise Vice President Amit Singh in December to discuss enterprise, expansion, social, and numbers:

Weintraub: Speaking of Facebook, Google Apps enterprise users are now part of Google+. What kind of integration do you see there? Do you see Plus integration bumping up against LinkedIn?

Singh: We are building tools for business, so it isn’t unlikely that some of our features will overlap with existing players. However, our goal is simply to build the best products. If I had to point to the biggest changes for 2012, I would point to Social. We really have some exciting plans for social context on Apps. From Google+ pages to connecting with customers, vendors and fellow employees, there is so much work going on which will make our products so much better and our customers much more productive.
