New LG G6 press render shows off the glossy black model

The LG G6 leaks have started to pour in the run-up to the phone’s launch at Mobile World Congress next week, and just this morning we caught our first glimpse of the phone compared to last year’s LG G5. Now, we’re getting a look at the first official-looking press renders of the phone with views from all sides…

This model (via Evleaks) looks to be the same glossy black phone that leaked in the flesh earlier this month. This render, however, gives us a look at the phone’s wallpaper and black front, as well as clear look at both sites of the device. The render does have some distortion around the edges, however.

LG has already told us about the G6’s ‘FullVision’ 18:9 5.7-inch display, offered a peek at the new LG UX 6.0 software, and sent out a few teasers to media outlets suggesting that it will feature ‘resistance’ and ‘reliability’. The company has also confirmed that the phone will have a 32-bit Quad-DAC like the LG V20, and just yesterday published two new teaser videos referencing the phone’s water and dust resistance.

The G6 is said to be the first phone outside of Google’s realm to feature the Google Assistant, and recently we corroborated some previously-leaked specs alongside some new images of the phone last last week. It’s going to ship with base 32GB of expandable storage, a 3,300 mAh battery (we can confirm the production model for the US is 3,300 mAh, not 3,200 mAh as we previously stated), 4GB of RAM, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, and a 5.7-inch display.
