Google Wifi goes up for pre-order from Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy, and other retailers

We saw a bunch of new hardware at Google’s October 4th event, but one which flew under the radar a bit was Google Wifi. While all of Google’s other hardware has already gone up for sale and landed on the doorsteps of many customers, Wifi is just now going up for pre-order.

So what is Google Wifi? Google describes the product as a home router that is easy to set up, fairly affordable, and can be used to cover an entire home. A single Google Wifi unit on its own is said to be stronger than the average home router, despite being half the size.

However, the real trick with Google Wifi is the ability to pair up to three units together to create a mesh network through your entire home without the need to connect them with wires ─ simply plug in power and go. Set up is very simple.

Pricing for a single Google Wifi unit lands at $129 while a 3-pack costs $299. Pre-orders are available now through the Google Store, Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers all listed below.
