AT&T LG G5 preorders start March 21 ahead of April 1 launch w/ BOGO and Watch Urbane offer

We already knew the LG G5 would launch in early April at the major US retailers (with a free spare battery and cradle offer in tow), but today AT&T makes things official for its customers announcing a preorder date of March 21st ahead of a launch on April 1st.

To accompany the launch AT&T is doing its buy one get one free offer with the LG G5 like it’s done with other flagships, and will also have a LG Watch Urbane deal:

You can buy the LG G5 and get a second G5 free when adding a second line and buying both on AT&T Next. Similar to other BOGO offers, this offer is available to new and existing customers. The first phone can be a new line or an upgrade, but the second upgrade must be a new line purchased on AT&T Next 24.

The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE is available for $99.99 on a two-year agreement when you buy a LG G5 on AT&T Next.

AT&T notes that its version of the Watch Urbane features “NumberSync,” allowing users to “send and receive texts, plus make and receive calls, from your smartwatch using the same mobile number as your smartphone even when your phone isn’t nearby or turned on.”

Pricing on AT&T will be $22.97/month on AT&T Next 24, with the full retail price to own the device coming in at $689.

And the details for the buy one get one offer if you’re interested:

  • Available to new and existing customers
  • Both phones must be purchased on AT&T Next, our popular installment plan, as follows:
  • The first phone can be a new line or an upgrade.
  • The second phone must be a new line and purchased on AT&T Next 24.
  • Add both phones to a qualified plan, like Mobile Share Value, for as low as $70 a month for two phones.
  • After 3 bill cycles or less, you will start to receive up to $689 spread out over 30 monthly bill credits.
  • Just pay tax on both phones at sale.
  • After $689 in credits a LG G5 will be free

And other major retailers and carriers will launch the device on April 1st as well. T-Mobile already confirmed it would begin G5 orders on March 29th for $0 down and monthly payments of $26.25.
