Honor announces pre-CES event to showcase new ‘creative and smart technology’

Honor today has sent out invites to CES 2016 party/event during which it will detail the “creative and smart technology that will offer superior mobile internet experiences to natives all over the world.” Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei, is responsible for devices like the Honor 5X and Honor 7.

While the invite itself doesn’t offer much detail as to what to expect during the event, we’ve heard that Honor might use the event to announce the United States availability of the Honor 5X. The Honor 5X has been available in China since October, but United States availability has always been a mystery.

The Honor 5X features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a Snapdragon 616 chip with a 64-bit quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A53 processor and quad-core 1.2 GHz A53 processor paired with an Adreno 405 GPU. The device, at least in China, comes in two different variants, one with 2GB of RAM and one with 3GB of RAM.

Honor’s pre-CES event will take place on Tuesday, January 5th at 8PM PT in Las Vegas. We’ll be in Vegas for CES and will have all the details you need to know from the event as it unfolds.

We invite you to join honor for an exciting pre-CES 2016 party and the announcement of creative and smart technology that will offer superior mobile internet experiences to digital natives all over the world.
