HTC One E9 leaks, sports a flatter and thinner body w/ a 5.5-inch screen

It looks like another HTC smartphone, this time the One E9 (rather than the M9), is on the way to market sometime soon. The images have shown up thanks to Chinese regulators (via Engadget), and as you can see above, they actually don’t look that similar to last year’s HTC One E8 (which came to Sprint in August). This device has a much larger camera on its rear, and sports a larger 5.5-inch screen (which is a half-an-inch bigger than that of its M9 relative)…

The Chinese outlet for well-known leaker Upleaks shares what may just be the devices full specifications, including a 64-bit MediaTek processor, 32 GB of flash storage, 3 GB of RAM, a 20-megapixel main camera, and potentially two different variants for the front shooter (either 13-megapixel or 4-megapixel “UltraPixel”). Software wise, the device is likely to pack Android Lollipop and HTC’s own Sense 7 (which the company unveiled alongside the HTC One M9).

There’s no telling if the device will ever hit American shores, but considering the E8 made its way over on Sprint, there’s at least the slim possibility that the same could happen here. This device seems to be pretty beefed-up and is definitely comparable to the One M9 in many ways, so it will be interesting to see how it is set apart if the Taiwanese company does indeed decide to bring it to the American market.
