LG G3 specs are unofficially official, here’s what you can expect

According to a PhoneArena tipster, LG has just announced the specifications for its widely leaked G3 flagship set to be officially unveiled on May 27th. Apparently LG held a (not so) secret briefing at a Korean retailer to get everything in order before the big unveiling.

If all of these specs and features make it to every market’s G3, we can definitely expect a monster-status flagship from LG this year. Unfortunately, with all of the leaks surrounding this device, there’s really nothing new here.

As far as specifications go, the G3 will feature a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 resolution display with 538 pixels per inch. The G3’s dimensions (146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm) will give it a footprint that’s “almost identical” to the Sony Xperia Z2. Along with that, the G3 is claimed to be packing a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 3,000mAh battery, and a 13-megapixel camera. For what it’s worth, the frontside of the G3 has a 2.1-megapixel camera with an “enhanced selfie mode.”

The camera is bundled with LG’s Optical Image Stabilization+ and apparently an auto focus assist that’s built-in to achieve lightning fast focus, even in low light. There’s no “official” word from LG on these specifications and features, but the event images below definitely seem to validate everything. Stay tuned for LG’s official G3 event on May 27, 2014.
