The fine folks over at the XDA-Developer Forums are at it again, with a pre-alpha release of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to the Kindle Fire, that is based off CyanogenMod 9. The port is stated to be buggy, but as you can see in the video it really isn’t that bad. The process for flashing the pre-alpha software is pretty difficult. The easiest way to get started is to use the latest Kindle Fire Utility to connect your tablet to a PC with a USB cable and root the tablet, install TWRP 2.0, and then use TWRP to perform backup your entire system, perform a factory wipe, and then flash JackpotClavin’s tryforsdcard.zip file.
