Samsung/Google Nexus media event confirmed for October 19th

9to5Google has just received an invitation from Samsung confirming an October 19th date for the Google/Samsung media event originally slated for CTIA in San Diego this week but delayed due to the passing of Steve Jobs. The invitation email confirms reports from yesterday that the event, which will be dedicated mostly to unveiling Ice Cream Sandwich and hopefully the Nexus Prime, would be moved to Hong Kong on the 19th. We’ll have someone on the scene in Hong Kong and to bring you updates as they happen next week.

The Samsung/Google media event has been rescheduled to take place on October 19 in Hong Kong, China at S221 Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. HKT with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. HKT. The event livestream will be available at YouTube.com/Android at 10 p.m. EST on October 18 for U.S. media who cannot attend the event.
